winmx has a community... but unfortuately thats about all it has, and there are a few idiots (like snip and michael to name just 2 examples) who seem determined to do all they can to destroy that

most systems have some form of system like he described to prevent accidential (or non-accidental) corruption of files, but unfortunately winmx depends on encryption rather than a decent protocol

go to the modem config page and try disabling the "firewall" or "NAT" or whatever other names it gives you - heck, disable everything and see if it still works :-D after doing that you should be able to restart your router and it should have an external IP Address your ISP will b...

its a major leap in the portable storage - the ammount of data it can hold is major but i dont think its required yet, so the prices wont fall until people we start getting software that takes multiple DVD's (some programs are so bloated we aren't far from that now!) the main problem i see with this...

well, you'd think it looks like advanced expensive techology that will take ages and be expensive... but didn't people say the same about CD's? and then again about DVD's? and especially a DVDRW drive, no way you'd get them for less than £500 before 2010...

the modem shouldn't need forwarding in most cases - unless it has a built in router your router should give you your IP Address somewhere on the page, if it lists your internet IP Address then you dont need to forward in the modem, if it lists something different then your modem may be using a built...
