Re: Energy Hogs & Bugs - Apps That Sap
I’ve always loved active fun — and escape rooms are my favorite way to challenge the mind while staying on the move. 🧩🚪 If you’re into puzzles, adrenaline, and teamwork — you have to check..... Blah blah blah Seriously.... do you just sit and think of ways to fit your crappy ads into posts here? Th...

Re: What game are you playing on your PC?
Lately I’ve been playing Portal 2 on my PC — still one of the best puzzle games ever made. The combination of logic, timing, and that slightly eerie atmosphere never gets old. It actually got me in the mood for real-world puzzles too, so I booked a session at Cognition Escapes. If you enjoy thinkin...

Pull together now.... row row row your boat (etc)
If you're gonna land a big fish, at least make sure it's edible.

Re: Plex
Owing to the fact that most things become available here about 5000 years after the fact, I only recently started playing with Plex and, honestly, I'm not impressed. Maybe we have different service here but, as far as I can tell, it is populated with very old, low quality TV and films that nobody wa...

Re: How do you typically get your media these days?
Vinyl doesn't actually sound better I have to disagree.... If you have good kit, and a good ear, vinyl actually does sound better. Digital media lacks "life" because it lacks harmonics that we don't consciously hear, but which modify the sound in ever-so-subtle ways. I know it sounds like...

Re: How do you typically get your media these days?
I mostly use streaming now. Netflix, HBO, Amazon, and Spotify. Like Battye, I still buy and rip discs. I also went back to buying vinyl records. In the car I either use Spotify or, more likely, a 64 GB pen drive that has mostly rock and metal on it.

Re: Photography
Eeek. Lots has changed since that last post. In terms of intermediate to pro level cameras, the SLR world has been slowly but surely changing to a mirrorless format (I haven't) and the major producers are going through some changes. Canon has problems - Nikon has bigger problems - Olympus no longer ...
