So far, Sony remained untouched by the recent developments in the field of the netbooks claiming that usability is what every UMPC should offer, but seems they just couldn't resist the temptation to come up with a tiny laptop. So, Sony finally has a netbook competitor, but only in size and not in price. Avaiable in your choice of red, white, green or black glossy lid colors, this 'pocket style PC' is called so because it comfortably fits into a coat pocket. It amazed everyone when Sir Howard Stringer (Chairman & CEO of Sony) ceremoniously pulled it out from his coat pocket during his keynote at CES 2009.
Sony has specially mentioned that this device is a not a netbook, but a lifestyle product and are promoting it as the lightest notebook around. Unfortunately though, the fact that it is a small sized notebook makes comparisons with netbooks inevitable (especially the price-to-performance ratio)...
