new to makeing websites

Things are much easier to read now. The background image on the Dragon Poetry page is kind of interesting.
Maybe it is me but the constantly changing background with the neon green text annoys the hell out of me. To me it has the look of a 3 year olds interpretation of a complex design done with those fat crayons. But that is me of course.

CricketMX.com in 2022: Still the home of bat's, rat's and other farmyard animals!

One of my pet peeves, (not saying you do this, it just happened to hit me) is websites that give you a 'back' link that calls to javascript to take you back 1 in your browsing history(same function as pressing the back button in your browser). I always think, "Gee, Thanks! I didn't want to see the rest of your site anyway!" You really notice when you hit one of these pages from a search engine, and instead of taking you to the page that would have linked to this page, you end up back at the search engine.
I was on mapquest when this rant hit me. I was about to click 'print' on the page, but I had to stop and make sure that it was really a link to a printer friendly page and not just javascript(print).
