Apparently this was not a significantly important court that the ruling was given in, so we might see appeal after appeal as it goes through to their equivalent of the supreme court, high court, etc.Just minutes ago the verdict in the case of The Pirate Bay Four was announced. All four defendants were accused of ‘assisting in making copyright content available’. Peter Sunde: Guilty. Fredrik Neij: Guilty. Gottfrid Svartholm: Guilty. Carl Lundström: Guilty. The four receive 1 year in jail each and fines totaling $3,620,000.
TPB owners basically referred to this whole hearing as theatre for the media, I guess they expect the juicy stuff to come in the future. Their "press release" says it all:
Digg users are predicting this will go on for years. So, the dice courts judgement is here. It was lol to read and hear, crazy verdict.
Anyway, in the meantime TPB is still online and running.
