I've recently had some popups slip through Firefox. At first, there was just one. I think it was served up from gamespy or something, quite a while back. Now I get popups from http://www.newgrounds.com

I thought it was just my work machine, but I get them at home too. Open up a few of the mail links from the homepage and maybe vote on a few of them. Is it just me?

I've been using Thunderbird for a while, and I have to say, I'm very impressed by the trainable spam blocker. Works almost perfectly. Also, I'm curious about something. Lately I've been getting emails that aren't from anyone. There is no address at all in the From place, and the messages themselves have no content whatsoever. No words, no images, no nothing. The only way to find out who they're from is to go to message properties. Here's the headers from one of them:

Anyone know what the point of these are?

That's strange. I'd suspect some sort of virus or confused spammer. Are you familiar with a Dorothy Phillips?

No, never heard of her. I have gotten somewhere between 4 - 6 of those, all from different sources. And they all have no content. Don't think that's a coincidence.

Edit: Here are the sources of some of the other ones:
HiramHollis@chilver.net
LyleRosenberg@smokeables.com
AlonzoWheeler@outcut.net

Edit: I visited those domains. Here are the results I got:
chilver.net: some kind of under construction parked search domain thingy
smokables.com: could not be found
outcut.net: could not be found
allomorph.com: your basic "What you need, when you need it" parked domain search page.
