What game are you playing on your PC?

Not online games, Flash games, etc. Games that install on your PC.

I'm currently playing Tomb Raider Anniversary. Old one but I've played and completed them all on the PlayStation One and PS2. Out of practice though as it's been a while since playing games!

One game I would REALLY like to get hold of to play on PC is GTA - San Andreas. Got new PC and it more than meets the specs... in theory.

None at the moment.
My favourite all time (probably because it was the first I really got into) was Fable.
It took me ages (mainly because I will never give up, and have a need to solve puzzles if I can  )
I tried to reinstall it recently but things just aren't that simple any more.
A little too uncomplicated for today's machines 8)
Come to think of it...all that time solving it and the ending was...strange!!

I've never really installed many games. Those that I have usually being sports games, like cricket or AFL.

Recently I installed Simbabwe - the Sim City version of Zimbabwe. It involves a ready built city, and it is a race between you and Robert Mugabe - Who can steal the most farms? Who can lose money faster? The ultimate bankruptcy game, step aside Monopoly

I often play with PySol. It's a Solitaire game with dozens of modes, but I prefer Klondike by Threes.
There is a Windows version available, too. http://pygames.sourceforge.net/

OpenArena is a good one. It's a Quake clone with good multiplayer and lots of available levels.
I have Tremulous installed, but there's no singleplayer mode, so I haven't really played it. It's a cross between First Person Shooter and Real Time Strategy.

I installed Monopoly to try out my new graphics card earlier today. I was lucky I found a AGP graphics card last week for my old PC. Updated from 64mb of RAM card to 256mb of RAM card.

 I'm having REAL trouble getting hold of that game for PC. Could kick myself really - I HAD the damn game but sold it cos original PC I had didn't have no specs to run the game... now I do. A case of "WHY DID YOU DO THAT? WHY DIDN'T YOU PREDICT THE FUTURE?!!!"

I saw I book in a local (well, 20mi away) second hand store for $40, I thought to myself "ah, it's not worth it" even though I knew it was a) out of print; and b) something I really wanted to read.

A few months later I looked online for the book, and the going price was $160 :(

Nothing worse when that happens battye! Thing is, no matter how many times you think about those missed opportunities... it still happens again! Grrrrr.

Real short of time at the moment in between many things so been having quick goes on Solitaire (on Vista PC). Because there is sometimes a long gap between playing games on PC I tend to lose where I was up to so no doubt will have to back track on Tomb Raider. Telling ya, amnesia is setting in!

I'm a retro gamer at heart and recently downloaded and played a couple of games that were originally on the Commodore Amiga and converted to PC: Clockwiser - an infuriatingly addictive puzzler where you have to rotate various blocks in left pane until it matches the one on the right. The other is Great Giana Sisters (a Mario Bros rip-off which did surprisingly well until it got pulled of shop shelves by a disgruntled company - you may had heard of them - Nintendo). A platformer with "beefed up graphics and sounds". Both free. :)

Another good one that I play in spurts is Battle for Wesnoth.
It has more polish and content than most other games that I've played, especially compared to other free games.

Back to playing Tomb Raider: Legends. Finally completed first level (Bolivia) today, and now at Peru - all guns blazing, and snuffing it every two minutes. It's hard playing this game on keyboard. Guess I'll have to plug in a joypad and configure buttons so it maps the PS2 TR controls. ;)

Finally got this game working on my new Acer Aspire laptop (Windows 7 64-bit) after much fiddling. Happy as a sandboy now. But I really must get some other work done.... ;)
