I have the iPhone widget on my desktop/expose... 3 days, 23 hours, 18 minutes, 09 seconds to go!
Can't wait. My iPod Video is on its deathbed, I'm just hoping it can survive a little bit longer. I'll wait for the hype to die down, hopefully a bit of a drop in prices, stock to replenish... then jump on the iPhone bandwagon
For anyone interested, there is quite a bit of talk about the iPhone starting around

1 more sleep... or two if you aren't camping out at midnight.
Note: I am not camping out at midnight
It's incredible, of the 3 providers here in Australia, only 1 has fully released their plans. Another has given a vague indication (saying their cheapest will be $30/month) but saying no more, while the third has said nothing at all.
Either tomorrows going to be a big news day for Australian telecommunications, or come July 11th there will be phones being sold with an unspecified price

It's finally here!
I picked up my shiny new black iPhone today
It's a huge improvement over the video iPod I have, namely the speed which I've noticed to be very quick (I guess it needs a faster processor for the internet and phone capabilities which leads to better speeds on the iPod functions). Just need to wait for the carrier to activate the SIM and I'm away. Exciting stuff
Can't wait to see how fast CMX loads on 3G and what it looks like on the phone screen

Garmy it is $29 AUD a month plus the cost of the phone. We were very lucky in Australia with the pricing.

Hopefully not too bad (I will know for sure after the first bill!
)
There are a hundred free SMS messages and a touch over $20 of free calls. 3G data use is quite generous, 250mb (compared to 5mb from the other leading carrier) which I have used only a fraction of so far. Connecting to the internet via wi-fi is free (if the hotspot is free) and I found it was a good way of playing with the settings - Youtube, Google Maps, GPS, iTunes, etc

/me comes out of hiding after a year
Who are you with for the plan? Want a new phone... either a Hiptop/Sidekick from Telstra, an iPhone from someone, or maybe I should just stick with my Nokia e65

Hi Happy Dude, good to see you here again
I'm with Optus for the iPhone. I would recommend them, there were a few early glitches but overall everything has been fine
