I'm not the only one having an unwanted Trojan Horse moment!! It would seem to be under control...

The problem:
AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0.1
It's time to upgrade to AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0.1

SpywareBlaster Version 4.1
The latest version has been released. The free download is available from:

This is scary!! My AVG Version 8 is up and running and instead of the usual "No Threats Found"...
SpywareBlaster\sbautoupdate.exe Trojan horse Dropper.Agent.IPC

The answer in part:
EDIT: Now Resolved in the Latest AVG Virus Database Update. Please see below.

AVG is currently falsely detecting "sbautoupdate.exe", a legitimate component of SpywareBlaster 4.1, as a virus. This is a false positive detection.

While we've been working on contacting AVG to get them to fix it, it would be incredibly helpful if anyone who has an AVG license could open a support ticket with AVG (reporting the false-positive) to help expedite the process.

The legitimate sbautoupdate.exe file is digitally signed by "Javacool Software LLC", and has the following checksums:

MD5: 5D0E5821EB35CDA9C320C1BDF1A4B695
SHA1: 62B09B3503C05A3CC853BB8BDFCC8292FD200E53
