For the uninformed, IRC means Internet Relay Chat

It's been around for a good while, correct me if I am wrong, I believe that IRC was one of the first. IRC itself is open source, the program (client) may not. But it's good, you can connect to thousands of rooms.

I typically like "undernet.org" for chat rooms.

There are "hackers" they really dont hack anything, just hijack your client and screw around with you.
