battye... mate... please explain.
It's Friday (so I won't see your reply til Monday) and there's a little 'drop down list' type box sitting in the bottom right corner of every page I visit. Is this an unfinished jump-box? At present it doesn't scroll neatly with the rest of the page content. Clicking on the arrow at the end of the box expands it to a big, scary, black rectangle with no text content. Is this normal???

A worried Rat.

No, it is not normal. Usually when weird things like the aforementioned happen, it comes down to: Viruses, Bugs, and Browser Issues.

So How Do I Define Which One It Is?
Run an anti virus program, also check for adware and spyware as it could be that!
Ask the Administrator! So many people forget this step! Once the administrator confirms there is no problem, there is nothing to worry about (confirmed)
Try on a different browser. It works fine with Netscape and IE.

A Relieved Battye

:P

What browser do you use, all is fine here. It's a dropdown box, yeah. You should see a list of forums :?

Well, I'm using IE for this site. I constantly run antivirus (and it scans fully over the weekend). My system is clean. But.. it seems the box is no longer so scary. It appears to be working now so no worries.

Well a bug is something that most of the times only appears under special circumstances.

I think a box would be quite scary for a rat; expecially if it didnt have holes poked in the side for air.

My, my,
Sun is pie.
There's fodder for the cannons,
And the guilty ones can all sleep safely,
All sleep safely.
