EternalDarkness is good, we should have similar things.

I forget the name of it, and I think we already have it.

What would be interesting is to use other fonts, dont get me wrong I like verdana, but, something off the wall doesn't hurt.

Not this is a big secret, but never use light backgrounds like white or yellow, because it's bright, it's not paper more like a lightbulb.

I like the more fancy ones, and they're not too bad for customizing, just go into photoshop and cmx-ize it.

Honestly, I tend to feel kind of an eye burn after looking at a white on black site, like Maddox. I'll have afterimages of text for a few seconds at least, as I scan the lines. I feel that exposing your eyes to a higher level of monitor brightness with dark text doesn't do this to me.

Anyone else go through this, or are my eyes going out on me?

might have too much contrast, after images are on practically anything, typically you use opposite colors (so they can be easily read). like yellow and blue, red and green, b & w, etc.

Staring at anything will cause some sort of irritation after a long period of time, you probably arent blinking your eyes enough, especially if you strain to read the screen.

It doesn't matter what colors or themes are used. My eyes get tired from staring at any webpage for hours, regardless of the themes used or the cotrast between text and backgrounds. It's an electric cannon that shoots photons towards your face, for pete's sake! . Of course your eyes get tired!

Looking at a screen when gaming though, is not so tiring for your eyes only, as well to a lot of other bodily functions. As you process more information, with more interaction and stuff, your eyes will get even more tired. But other parts of the body also get tired, so the irritated eyes don't stand out that much above the
