I tried Killad in 2003, but after a year or so, it was completely obsolete and most pop-ups were not blocked at all anymore.

The fun thing about it was: you could put your own sound effects in the folder where the program was located and they would be played whenever a pop-up was blocked. I put in the sound from games like Gettysburg and Startrek Borg sound effects/texts. :P

You can still find this crappy out-dated program somewhere, I'm sure.

i never heard of Killad.Panicware Pop-Up Stopper Free Edition also played sounds too when it blocks ads.i tried that too for a while.
The paid /shareware version had more sound affects for it when it blocked popup ads.

I'm just testing various ad placements at the moment, I'll see how they go and decide if they stay or go.

They are spose to be there :)

I hope not pop-up ads plzzz no..

Google ads are ok but i hate that they advertise p2p scam sites and bogus scam anti-spyware software.

I won't ever be adding popups, I hate them too.

The reason different ads come up is because it looks to see what the topic of the page is, because this is a topic about ads, it puts up ads about popup blockers.
