Postby p2p-sharing-rules » Wed Jun 25, 2008 10:56 am

It's great to see that someone took over developing & continuing KM's WCS.In my opinion I think WCS is one of the best or is the best Chat server for WinMX.

R§WCS is a beta version compiled from the sourcecode 0f WCS v1.83 by Røçkåfë££ë® §kåñK who's going to continue developing WCS, tiding up KM's code, fixing any bugs & adding new features to WCS.If there's any programmers who want to help him you can find him over on the Rebellion forum.

I have released 1.8.4b1, this contains an update to new R§WCS type outputs and couple of new test features.

Changes since 1.8.3:
=D> =D>
* Updated all outputs to R§WCS
* Added /logout command
Users access is returned to default access, so are removed any additional access or added any they have not got.
* Added /status command
Output to user the current server "status".
* Added /version command
Output to user the current server version.
* Added server status to server GUI drop down toolbars
Outputs to all users the server "status".
* Added cutomisation to the server output colour scheme (please bear with the current colour scheme
as i will be making it customisable from the config at a later stage)

This is just a beta but all new features ideas are welcome.

Changes for 1.8.4b2 since 1.8.4b1:

* Finished adding cutomisation to the server output colour scheme (please bear with the current colour scheme
as i will be making it customisable from the config at a later stage)
* Added add/rem access on the server GUI menu.
* Added /addaccess and /remaccess commands
Users access is changed. Addaccess used by anyone but you can only add a character of your own access.
Remaccess you can only remove a letter you have.

:cheers: =D> Røçkåfë££ë® §kåñK for stepping up to the plate to continue developing WCS.

Postby p2p-sharing-rules » Wed Jul 30, 2008 9:44 pm

Røçkåfë££ë® §kåñK has updated his version of WCS to v 1.8.5 on Jul 29th, 2008.

Ok so heres a new beta
Quote:
Changes for 1.8.5 since WCS 1.8.3:

1.8.5 released at 18:15 on 29/07/2008

* Added caps access "c"
now users must have "c" or "*" access to use caps, all messages are auto lowercase without access.
* Co-Host access level "!" is now completely protected from kicks, aside from the server.
Be careful who u give this to.
* Fixed the text format after /logout ... again
Now the correct format is set to the user rather than format 0.
* Added time and date to /stats for the last user enter/exit.
* Added the command /formats for all ! access users.
Lists each of the set 10 formats (not the custom password attached formats).
* Changed the message output for ShowAlias to be clearer.
* Fixed some outputs for bots.
Not outputting colour codes for names etc.

###

1.8.4b5t4 released at 19:00 on 19/07/2008

* Added /setcolour (/setcolor)
User must have C in their access. Also fixed the bug of losing colour when logging in and out.
* Fixed /forcelogin
Works with all passwords not just the 1st int he config (d'oh my bad)
* Added FX style listing of usernames the user has entered with
This can be turned on and off in the config, 0 off, 1 is on using
ShowAlias=
This can also be turned off and on by the command /showalias in the room. Must have ! access though.
* Fixed uptime to show plural days/hours/minutes correctly

###

1.8.4b5t3 released at 19:00 on 17/07/2008

* Fixed the text format after /logout
* Finished adding customised output to server messages
* Added /roomname
* Fixed kicks by server for all ! access users

###

1.8.4b5t2 released at 19:45 on 13/07/2008

* Checked over 1.8.5b5t1 as cpu usage seems to be really high
* Added the Updates back in for now as this seems to be causing the high cpu usage
* Tidied up the output type of the server commands for bots
* Added last user entry to /stats command
* Added last user exit to /stats command
* Added /logout command
Users access is returned to default access, so are removed any additional access or added any they have not got.
Fixed the user rank so updates the @ or + rank after logout.

###

1.8.4b5t1 released at 19:00 on 12/07/2008

* Re-written the entire server since 1.8.4b5
* Fixed annoying /motd bug where variables are not replaced
* Added /status command
Output to user the current server "status".
* Added /version command
Output to user the current server version.
* Fixed bug with BlockedName=
Previously if left blank all users were blocked now blocks no-one if left blank.
* Fixed bug with BlockedWord=
Previously if left blank all text typed was blocked now blocks no messages if left blank.
* Added /topic, /topic2 and /topic3 commands
Displays the topics to the user.
* Updated all outputs to R§WCS
* Added [R§WCS] to the topic and removed it from entry and /topic commands.
* Added multi-line entry message
#NEWLINE# now works.
* Removed the License Agreement
It's to annoying no-one reads it and it's pointless having it now.
* Also removed the Updates
Since R§WCS is an update from WCS it hardly makes sense having it check for WCS updates.

Info source: The Rebelion.

:cheers: Thanks for the update Røçkåfë££ë® §kåñK .

R§WCS v1.8.6 released on 08/09/2008

Ok so heres a new full release

Changes for 1.8.6 since R§WCS 1.8.5:
* Fixed a typo style bug in uptimes.
* Fixed server identification.
Caused error messages in WCB and probably screwed up Metis scripts too, sorry guys.
* Now coloured the server type message on enter to make it a fixed colour for all clients.
* Fixed another typo style bug in opmsg this time.
If the user who typed the message was in /bot mode then the OpMsg tag lost its white colour.
* Also fixed opmsg triggers for bots.
They now realise its a opmsg trigger rather than ignoring it.
* Changed /formats to only list formats actually used, i.e. not blank ones.
* Fixed bugs in /logout.
First is that when the default access has a text format number it was added to the access twice
after a logout.
Also fixed errors with old style formats (using %s as $NAME$ and/or $TEXT$) on logout.
* Fixed bug in /listbans where the users name did not include their colour codes in bot mode.
* Fixed bug (same bug in /kick /ban /kickban /exile) not showing the users name correctly with
their colour codes in bot mode.
* Added ShowRenames= into the config.ini
When set to 0 no message is displayed, but when set to 1 a user rename message is displayed.
* Added RenameMessage= into the config.ini
Use this to customise the rename message displayed.
Variables available are:-
- $OLDNAME$ - displays the users old name.
- $NEWNAME$ - displays the users new name.
* Added ShowBannedEntries= into the config.ini
When set to 0 no message is displayed, but when set to 1 all users with the access "!" will be displayed
a banned user entry message.
This can also be turned off and on by the command /showbannedentries in the room. Must have ! access though.
* Re-written all the rank controls within the server. This now means /changeuniform is now an added command.
* Added /who <param>
Can now use a criteria to display a user. Searches users name, ip and access and only displays matches.

R§WCS 1.8.7
Release date: Oct. 26 , 2008

Changes for 1.8.7 since R§WCS 1.8.6:
* Fixed a bug in /motd.
I had solved this for entering and viewing the motd not for the /motd. Uptimes showed colour codes in.
* Fixed a bug to do with /changeuniform.
If the default access was + or @ rank then the 1st changeuniform set u as + presuming you were a
normal user. Now fixed.
* Custom commands can now be aliases
They can now point to another command, instead of just bots.
If you put for example CustomCommand=/k=/kick $PARAMS$ then typing in "/k John" would make
R§WCS execute the command "/kick John" (assuming you have access to kick John in the first place).
* Custom commands are now case in-sensitive
Fixed a small issue with case sensitivity on custom commands and needing to put them in upper case,
you can now use any case.
* Caps access "c" now only restricts A-Z in caps.
* Fixed BlockedName=, BlockedWord= and Block= bug in config.
On changing to ignore empty versions I accidently ignored all versions in the config.
* Added blocked word in users name server message to "!" access users.
Use ShowBlockedEntries= in the config to turn on or off.
This can also be turned off and on by the command /showblockedentries in the room. Must have ! access though.
* Changed the default cache to be caches.winmxworld.net as MxStuff seems to be having problems.
* Added #cr# to ignores replaces.
Odd use of it ignores replaces, even use allows replaces.
e.g. #cr#1234#cr#1234#cr#1234 with 2 replaced by RED would result in the message on screen being
12341RED341234
* Added /helpaccess to explain access levels.
* Changed /setcolour to now not be included in Watchcmds, but still show the command typed to the user.
* Added extra variables to be used in MOTD and FancyEntry.
$NUM-USERS$
$TIME$
$DATE$
* Changed /setaccess and /setformat to now allow you to set yourself even with ! protection.
* Changed /changeuniform now so there is /changeuniform and /changeuniform <name>.
* Changed /setcolour now so there is /setcolour and /setcolour <name>. For the new /setcolour <name> <number>
you must have either * or ! access.

R§WCS 1.8.7:1
Release date: Oct. 27, 2008
Ok so heres a bug fix release

Changes for 1.8.7:1 since R§WCS 1.8.7:
* Really sorry guys but this is a bugfix since i don't think there will be a proper release for a while between this and the next one. Basically in my haste to release 1.8.7 i forgot to re-compile my changes before releasing it and therefore there is a bug in /changeuniform.

R§WCS 1.8.8
Released date: Jan. 17, 2009

Changes for 1.8.8 since R§WCS 1.8.7:1
* Ok fixed the FancyEntry "bug" which showed colour codes in the uptime when you use $ROOMUPTIME$
in FancyEntry (worked fine in MOTD and I'm not sure who would want to but...)
* Fixed #cr# in formats so by default replaces are ignored by that user, e.g.
format is set as #c2#<#c1#$NAME$#c2#> #cr##c1#$TEXT$ now all replaces are ignored unless the user
types #cr# within their text.
* Fixed a error in the setting of topics 2 and 3 from within the room.
Topic is now sent to all users in room once it has been sent.
* Added /ranking
Shows the top 3 talkers and long stays.
* Fixed a bug in the rename message display.
Where a new name was contained in the old name i.e.
OldName = AFKRichy
NewName = Richy
the message was not displayed. My mistake i used the wrong comparison operator.
* Changed the colour scheme for the primary connections in the server GUI.
If you select less primary connections in the config (or dial up) then the offline primaries are white.
Disconnected primaries are red.
Connecting primaries are grey.
Handshaking primaries are yellow.
Connected primaries are green.
* Changed the forcelogin drop down menu in server GUI to now show the passwords name instead of the password
and access, if there is one e.g.
Password=*!=HOST=#c8#<#c57#$NAME$#c8#> #c9#$TEXT$=#c1#The #c57#HOST #c1#has arrived=Host
will show "Host" in the password list rather than "HOST (*!)"
* Added add/rem access on the server GUI menu.
* Added server status, server version and server stats to server GUI drop down toolbars
Outputs to all users the server "status", server version or server stats.
* Fixed a potentially major bug whereby the server would crash if long replaces are in the config and a user
without N access uses replaces repeatedly in the same sentance. This is the bug KM "fixed" in WCS.

R§WCS 1.8.8:1 Feb. 3 2009

Changes for 1.8.8:1 since R§WCS 1.8.8:

* Well, it appears I have dropped a bollock! So I apoligise! For a while now i have been trying to implement
a new feature, remote config editor (which many of you will know about if not check the forum) and it seems
some of my test commands I have been using to work up to this feature were not "commented" out i.e. disabled
in the last release I made back in 1.8.8 so I have issued this bug fix which has these commands disabled!
Stay tuned for my next release which will have this feature fully working (I hope)!

R§WCS 1.9.0 Feb. 11 2009

Changelog
* Well, I have decided it is time that R§WCS made it on its own, no longer just a WCS mod.
I have designed my own icons (as you may have noticed) and task try icons for R§WCS now.
- I have made the task tray icon a permanent fixture now (unlike WCS) so it now changes icon dependant
on the server status (i.e. online/offline).
- The task bar and window icon now change with the task tray icon.
* Added a right click menu on the task tray icon (server maximised and minimised).
* Finally added back the /addaccess and /remaccess fully working to chat.
* Fixed a bug with adding + or @ access using add/rem access through the server.
Accesses were changed but users ranks were not.
* Added a new variable $MOSTUSERS$. This will display the most number of users in room at any one
time since the server was last opened.
* Fixed a bug in the ServerName option in the config.
As it can be set to anythnig there was no validation on the username being a "valid" one. Now R§WCS
makes the set name into a valid one by suffixing zero's to the end as necessary.
* Fixed a few bot mode server outputs from commands.
* Added /ranking to help message (seemed to have missed in 1.8.8.)
* Removed bots from /ranking stats.
* Added rankings to server GUI, "Post Info" menu.
* Added total number of kicks, total number of successful and total number of failed login attempts
to the /stats menu and the server GUI "Post Info" stats.
* Fixed a bug with replaces containing #NEWLINE#'s not showing a newline correctly for non-N accessed users.
Replaces should not be based on a users access as far as I am concerned!
* Please Note: this version forwards I will be compressing the .exe file with UPX which reduces the file
size to around 20.9%
* Fixed a potentially major bug whereby the server would crash if long replaces containing newlines are in
the config and a user uses replaces repeatedly in the same sentence.

R§WCS
Release: 1.9.1
Release Date: 25/04/2009

Changelog
* Added "Copy Roomname" to the right click menu. Should make sending people your roomname easier as a host.
* Added "Set Online"/"SetOffline" to the right click menu.
* Added "Post Info" submenu to the right click menu. This posts into the room all the info as per the window menu.
* Added "Reload Config" to the right click menu. This reloads the config file.
* Added "Copy Loopback Name" to the right click menu. This will copy the loopback addy of the channel to the clipboard.
* Fixed $MOSTUSERS$ variable I added in version 1.9.0 now shows correctly.
* Changed the task tray double click options.
If the server is maximised and you double click the task tray icon the server minimises.
If the server is minimised and you double click the task tray icon the server maximises.
* Changed how the task tray icon is changed from online/offline switch.
No longer deletes and recreates the icon, now just modifies the image.
* Added BlockHostRedirect= to the config.
If set to 0 the redirects are sent as usual.
If set to 1 then any user in the room under the rooms ip or loopback ip (127.0.0.1) will not be redirected.
* Added /blockhostredirect only avaliable to user with same ip as the room or loopback ip, to toogle feature on/off.
* Added /showrenames to allow "!" access users to toggle this feature off/on from within the room.
* Changed show alias to display to k, K, @ or ! accesses. Not sure why i limited it to only k or K.
* Added $STAYTIME$ variable for use in MOTD and FancyEntry.
* Added protocol for server defined right click menus for those clients supporting it.
This means that users right click menus will be customised to the server commands, and these will be based on
the users access level.
* Added to /stats <username> a message to specify if a user supports the server defined right click menus.
* Fixed a bug to do with users with normal spaces in their names.
Commands sent from the right click menu in the server window did not pick up the users name correctly.
* Fixed a bug where #NEWLINE#'s used in formats were not correctly done if a user did not have N or * access.
* Fixed a bug which I had made (opps) where I had muddled up the 2 stats access levels in the addaccess/remaccess
menu in the server window.
* Added RoomPassword= to the config.
RoomPassword= is the password needed to enter the channel if RoomPassword= is left blank no password is set.
* Added a new server message to /addaccess /remaccess if you attempt to change your own access.
* Fixed a protocol bug in relation to IPSend on entry.
* Added seconds to /listbans on timed bans and also changed the output style for these timed bans.
* Fixed a silly bug in /setformat where the server message was sent to the user changing the format not the user
being changed.
* Changed the stay times in /ranking and the server output of rankings to now include days instead of just hours.
* Fixed a DEBUG bug which crashed the server with long motd's (another buffer overflow bug).
