Despite the way it my look the site is still up and running and being added to :)

In actuality so far as i can see in piratebay history, legal challenges and the like have resulted only ever in one thing, a bigger more popular site. What is they say about there being no such thing as bad publicity?

Having caved into pressure from the US, the Swedish government carried out dubious raids and seizure of piratebay property, make no mistake the Swedish government HAD to find something to charge the piratebay with, it was the only way to save face and avoid being sued themselves.

Prince and the Village People plan to take Swedish website The Pirate Bay to court for allowing users to download their songs without permission -- if they can work out who to sue, their lawyer said on Friday.
