The organisation representing the record companies in Germany, ( Die deutschen Phonoverbände ) seem to have taken a step too far in their fight to stop file sharing and program copying. They want to silence even discussion about a program that can aid sharers.According to the music industry, simply providing a link to the start page of the web site of a copying software manufacturer constitutes a violation of this law. Furthermore, Heise Verlag is accused of having provided "instructions on how to get around anti-piracy measures" in the above news item. Finally, the letter even speaks of the news item as "illegal advertising" for the sale of the software.
I need not tell you all this is called censorship, it goes against any basic human rights the people have in that country and is a step backwards for common sense.
As usual make this situation known about by spreading the word about this sort of activity, dont let them steal your rights to free speech and help others fight for theirs.
